Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21, 1983 in Worthington Ohio, is an American actor. She is best known for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost television series. The couple had separated and she moved with her mom in Los Angeles. In the midst of financial hardship, she got her first acting gig as the title character in the online video series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The film for television Murder in Greenwich, in which she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the main actress in Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004 she received the Screen Actors Guild Award with all of the ensemble. Grace decided to leave the series to focus on her professional film work. She had starred alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. The actress has also appeared on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and in 2007 as well as in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role of Shannon in Lost, including the finale. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season that aired from 2013 to 2014. She portrays Faith who's an avid stargazer as well as a the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. She is a member of the Gyllenhaal clan and the younger sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager she appeared in small roles in her father's movies and co-starred with her older brother in Donnie Darko the famous cult film. Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). The leading roles of Gyllenhaal in Secretary, an erotico-romantic comedy, as well as Sherrybaby (a drama) have earned her nominations to the Golden Globe Award. She starred in a number of commercially successful films, such as World Trade Center. However the role she played in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008).
